Aisha Jamila Hinds is an American actor who is most well known for her roles on the TV shows The Shield and True Blood. Her range of talents has been proven through TV shows such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1, 8-7, and Under the Dome since she began her career with an acting role in the year 2003. First noticed in 2005 for the role of Anna that was as part of Assault on Precinct 13 However, it was her performance as Fannie Lou (a woman's advocate for women's right to rights) on the biographical All the Way film that made her famous as an actor. Hind received praise for her performance as Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's historical drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television announced that the show will be renewed for another season. The show was renewed for a third season by 20th Century Fox Television. Hind finished filming on the Hollywood film Godzilla: King of the Monsters which is scheduled for release by the middle of 2019. Her father Krishnaraj worked as a Army scientist and died on March 18, 2017. Her mother Vrinda is a homemaker. Aditya Bachchan, an engineer working in the Merchant Navy and is also her brother is employed by her. Bachchan's brother co-produced and co-wrote the film Dil Ka Rishta with their mother. The family moved to Mumbai and she attended Arya Vidya Mandir. Following her completion of intermediate courses through Jai Hind College, she began her studies at D.G. Ruparel College, Matunga. She scored 90% in her H.S.C. exams. As a teenager she spent five years studying classical music as well as dancing. Zoology was one of her subjects. Bachchan was a student of architectural studies when she won the title of Miss World in 1994. This title launched her into the spotlight of modeling. Bachchan appeared in Gurinder Chedha's Bride and Prejudice. This ballet-based musical reimagining of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice is directed by Gurinder. Bachchan has brought her fame and beauty to her first major English film. After the film's release, Provoked: A True Story in English, she returned to Bollywood and starred in the film Dhoom: 2 (2007). In April 2007 she married Abhishek Bachchan a frequent co-star as well as the child of Bollywood legendary Amitabh Bachchan in a marriage which brought together two of India's greatest people.
