Aisha Jamila Hinds is an American actor who is most well known for her roles on the TV shows The Shield and True Blood. Her range of talents has been proven through TV shows such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1, 8-7, and Under the Dome since she began her career with an acting role in the year 2003. First noticed in 2005 for the role of Anna that was as part of Assault on Precinct 13 However, it was her performance as Fannie Lou (a woman's advocate for women's right to rights) on the biographical All the Way film that made her famous as an actor. Hind received praise for her performance as Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's historical drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television announced that the show will be renewed for another season. The show was renewed for a third season by 20th Century Fox Television. Hind finished filming on the Hollywood film Godzilla: King of the Monsters which is scheduled for release by the middle of 2019.
